The Pattison family business began four generations ago when Gary Pattison
Senior's grandfather started selling fruit and vegetables from a number of shops
in Beverley and Driffield. One of his sons ran a market stall in North Point
Shopping Centre and this was eventually taken over by Gary Senior's father and
then Gary Senior himself who transferred the business into the now well established
retail unit in Bransholme, Hull
It was here that Gary started importing from Holland and the florist side of the business flourished under the enthusiastic and experienced guidance of Gary’s wife Sharron in whose memory the company was given its current title ten years ago.
By this time their son Gary Junior had joined the business and acquired his licence to drive a newly acquired artic. Diversification into the haulage sector soon brought Pattisons contracts with well known supermarkets to carry goods to and from Holland, and this fit in very comfortably with the successful import of delicate flowers and plants. Whilst Gary Senior continues to oversee the fruit and flower side of the business, Pat Spamer manages the haulage side, ably assisted by Gary Jnr.
Always eager to offer their customers an outstanding service, Pattisons also offer a comprehensive warehousing facility. And as if this is not enough to keep the family busy, Pattisons also boast a very successful Property Letting service with some very prestigious luxury apartments available to let!
So it's been a long but interesting journey from the sale of that first bag of potatoes!
